About us

Aureus Social Ventures Ltd (commonly known as Aureus) is a socially-driven business which provides expert help to the charitable and not-for-profit sectors, to individuals and businesses wishing to achieve social good in sustainable and satisfying ways.

We work with charities, social enterprises, sports bodies and schools to help them deliver high-impact, innovative programmes and to generate the funds that they need.

We also work with individuals and private sector partners wanting to achieve social good through philanthropy, corporate giving and socially-motivated commercial ventures, while we also develop and implement our own socially-driven projects.

Founded in 2013 we have worked with very many organisations and projects and are particularly proud:

  • to have supported RESTART LIVES in developing an enhanced programme to support London’s homeless and to have generated £200,000 – with notable support from the Dispossessed Fund, the Rank Foundation, Lloyds Foundation and the Garfield Weston Foundation amongst many others
  • to have developed a highly innovative programme ‘Character through Cricket’ for the East Africa Cricket & Education Foundation for its Pilot Programme in Nairobi in Kenya and to have generated £300,000 for it – with notable donations from the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Trust, the Sackler Foundation, Standard Bank and a range of individual philanthropists
  • to have developed Character Builder, our own online resource for measuring tracking development of character qualities for schools and other organisations committed to Character Education - currently undergoing Beta-testing
  • to be partnering with Nektr Lotteries and Capen Lotteries to launch a new online society lottery to raise funds for recreational sports clubs – to be launched in 2018
